The Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group is a psychoeducational group for adolescents ages 13-17. The group is skilled-based in which 5 fundamental components of well-being are taught: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Walking the Middle Path.
This group follows a set agenda in which new information will be taught weekly, and skills practices are assigned. The group's mission is to teach practical skills for regulating emotions, changing undesired patterns of thinking and behaving, improving relationships and communication skills, and building a life worth living.
